January 31, 2026 — Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School hosted Burgers, Brownies, & Bestsellers on January 31, 2026, welcoming families, students, church members,
and neighbors to a free community event centered on literacy, fellowship, and meaningful connection.
Held on the school’s campus, the event created a warm and inviting atmosphere where attendees gathered over shared meals, thoughtful conversation,
and a wide selection of books designed to spark and nurture a love for reading. As burgers were grilled, brownies were enjoyed, and books found new homes,
the afternoon reflected the spirit of togetherness that defines the Bethlehem community.
“This event was about more than food or books,” said Mary Kandilian, Director of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School. “It was about creating space for people to come together—to slow down,
connect with one another, and nurture a shared love for reading in a setting rooted in faith, warmth, and belonging.”
Burgers, Brownies, & Bestsellers served as a bridge between the church, the school, and the wider community, reinforcing Bethlehem’s commitment to education, faith, and fellowship.
By offering the event free of charge, Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School emphasized accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring all families felt welcome.
