Bethlehem Lutheran School Successfully Hosts the 2024 St. Jude Trike-A-Thon in Honor of Patriots Day
Bethlehem Lutheran School is thrilled to announce the success of its 2024 St. Jude Trike-A-Thon, which took place on September 11th.
This year's event was even more meaningful as it coincided with Patriots Day, September 11th, providing an opportunity for students,
staff, and families to come together to support the incredible work of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital while reflecting on the significance of the day.
Each year, Bethlehem Lutheran School participates in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon,
a fun-filled event where students ride their tricycles and bikes to raise funds for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other
life-threatening diseases. This year's Trike-A-Thon was particularly special as the school community also honored Patriots Day,
taking a moment to remember and reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who serve our nation.
Event Highlights:
- Trike Rides for a Cause: Students of all ages took to the course, riding their bikes and tricycles to raise funds for
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Their efforts will directly contribute to the hospital's ongoing mission of providing life-saving treatments
to children battling serious illnesses.
- Patriots Day Tribute: In a heartfelt ceremony, students and staff observed a moment of silence to honor the heroes of September 11th,
reflecting on the selflessness and resilience demonstrated by first responders, military personnel, and citizens in the aftermath of the tragedy.
- Community Involvement: Families and local supporters rallied behind the event, pledging donations and cheering on the riders.
The school's commitment to raising funds for St. Jude was felt throughout the day, with a sense of unity and shared purpose.
- Fun and Games: The event also featured family-friendly activities, music, and refreshments,
ensuring that the day was not only about fundraising but also about building community spirit and enjoying time together.
