Mary Kandilian, our Director since 2015, is a seasoned leader in education and a recipient of the 2024 ELEA Distinguished Educational Leader of the Year award.
With a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, an Elementary Teaching Credential, and a Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed.)
with a focus on Educational Administration, Mary brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to Bethlehem School.
Before joining Bethlehem, Mary served as the Associate Director of the School of Education and an Adjunct Professor at Pacific Oaks College.
Her career began as a Preschool Teacher, followed by her role as an Elementary School Teacher within the Glendale Unified School District.
Mary’s passion for education and her unwavering commitment to excellence have shaped her leadership at Bethlehem School.
She fosters an environment where students thrive and continues to lead the school as a hub of educational innovation and community engagement within
the San Fernando Valley.

Sandra Valdivia has been a dedicated member of the education field for over 20 years, with the majority of her career spent at Bethlehem School.
Sandra began her journey as a Toddler Teacher, quickly excelling in her role and demonstrating a deep passion for fostering young minds.
Over the years, she has grown professionally and is now serving as the Assistant Director of Bethlehem School, a position she has held since 2013.
Her extensive experience and commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment have made Sandra an invaluable leader within our school community.
She works hard to ensure Bethlehem School continues to provide exceptional education and care for our students, fostering their growth and success.
