Bethlehem News
Throughout February, Bethlehem Lutheran School proudly celebrated Black History Month with a variety of educational and engaging activities
designed to honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of Black Americans.
Students participated in interactive lessons that highlighted key historical figures, influential leaders, and groundbreaking achievements.
Through carefully selected books, music, and classroom activities, they explored the impact of Black artists, scientists, authors,
and civil rights leaders who have shaped history and continue to inspire future generations.
Teachers incorporated meaningful discussions, storytelling, and creative projects to help students connect with the significance of Black History Month.
Music played a central role in the celebration, introducing students to influential genres such as gospel, jazz, blues, and hip-hop,
while activities such as art projects and historical reenactments brought history to life in a fun and educational way.
Bethlehem Lutheran School is committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where all students gain an appreciation for the diverse
voices and experiences that have shaped our world. By celebrating Black History Month, the school reaffirms its dedication to cultural awareness,
respect, and learning.
