Bethlehem News
This week, Bethlehem Lutheran School embraced the spirit of spring and renewal by celebrating Norouz, the Persian New Year. Through the collaborative efforts of our families and staff,
we were able to thoughtfully honor this beautiful cultural tradition with a series of engaging and educational activities.
Norouz, which marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the new year in the Persian calendar,
provided a wonderful opportunity for our school community to learn about and appreciate the rich heritage and traditions associated with this holiday.
The celebration featured a colorful Haft-Seen table displayed in the school’s main hall, beautifully arranged with symbolic items representing themes of rebirth, health, prosperity, and happiness.
Students participated in storytelling sessions to learn about the history and significance of Norouz, created art inspired by spring themes, and enjoyed traditional music and songs.
We are grateful to our dedicated families and staff who contributed their time and talents to make this event a success.
Celebrating cultural diversity is an important part of our commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment at Bethlehem Lutheran School.
Happy Norouz to all who celebrate! May this new year bring peace, joy, and renewed hope.
